Services
The Center for School Safety is committed to being a resource for the community in the areas of school safety, school climate, classroom management, bullying (including bullying of LGBT individuals), cyberbullying and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. To honor this commitment, the Center for School Safety can provide services to schools in the following areas:
Prevention
The Center provides services aimed at preventing problems with school safety and school climate, including bullying, cyberbullying and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. These services aim to make students aware of existing social supports, teach problem-solving skills, and increase positive self-esteem and self-efficacy with coping skills.
Assessment
The Center has developed and has access to multiple tools designed to assess school climate and school safety including such areas as environmental protection and risk factors, attitudes on bullying, self-efficacy, coping skills.
Intervention/Research
The Center is currently involved in active research on interventions for victims of bullying, students who self-identify as bullies, and for the prevention of commercial sexual exploitation of children. Contact us if you are interested in bringing our research to your school system/community.
Consultation/Professional Development
The Center is committed to making sure that schools and communities have the tools they need to provide a safe and positive environment for its students. We provide professional development services in the areas of school safety, school climate, classroom management, bullying (including bullying of LGBT individuals), cyberbullying, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. We also provide consultation services in these areas to help schools and communities to improve their existing services.

Support the Center
The Center provides services that help schools and community organizations improve the services they provide to children. Additionally, the service provides information and resources to these organizations and to the general public.
